RESOURCE: The Massachusetts Institute of Technology's OpenCourseWare web site

Dear colleagues,

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology provides free course content on their OpenCourseWare web site. It is a free and open educational resource (OER) for educators, students, and self-learners around the world.

What is it:
  • Is a publication of MIT course materials
  • Does not require any registration
  • Is not a degree-granting or certificate-granting activity
  • Does not provide access to MIT faculty

I am especially intrigued by the large number of writing courses – which may of interest to our students at all levels.
