In the archives track, one of my doctoral students, Joel Blanco, did an independent study with me and developed a syllabus for an "international archives" course. This course isn't so much about globalization issues as described here, but it is an effort to consider how archival principles, practices, and purposes carry across different national, cultural, and other groups. I hope to get the approval of LIS faculty to have Joel teach it as an elective in the Summer 2009 term.
