..."The field, however, continues to have trouble attracting a diverse student body, and suffers from some wider problems, most notably a lack of interest in advanced degrees among US citizens and the shrinking availability of jobs within the academic community. Assuming that private-sector jobs dry up due to the economic crisis, then the most favorable aspect of advanced CS degrees—the high employment rate—may be a thing of the past by next year's survey. "Sure doesn't sound inclusive, +small gains for women. Maybe they have some inspiring faculty ? :-(
