Data destruction
We tend to spend much of our time in SIS on preservation of data, so it is easy to imagine that we might overlook the problem of (appropriate) data destruction. Fully and completely removing electronic records (such as e-mail) can be an important part of an organization's information management policy. This article discusses techniques for destroying data. Though I am hardly an expert in this matter, I would imagine that similar techniques for archival selection could apply to the destruction of data.
